First Shots provides an introduction for beginners, covering the fundamentals in a supportive environment. Our Pistol 101 course focuses on the fundamentals of marksmanship, while Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) offers the legal training required for concealed carry.
Basic Holster For those ready to advance their skills, Basic Holster gives you the hands-on training you need to safely and confidently draw from the holster. Upon successful completion, you’ll earn your GTSR Holster Qualification Card—your exclusive pass to draw from an OWB holster on our public ranges every time you visit. GTSR Holster Qualification Card required for all advanced courses.

Reserve a lane online for guaranteed availability, or visit anytime during our operating hours - we're open seven days a week. While walk-ins are always welcome, booking ahead ensures you get the time slot that works best for your schedule.

Yes. We offer Virginia-approved Concealed Carry Permit classes, Holster Skills, Pistol 101, and advanced tactical training. All courses are led by certified instructors.
Yes, provided it meets our safety requirements. We do not allow tracer, steel core, or armor-piercing rounds. Our staff will inspect rifle ammo before use.

Closed-toe shoes are required. Long pants and high-neck shirts are recommended to protect against hot brass.
Our range has 24 lanes across three bays, each 25 yards long, with automated target retrieval systems.

Bring a valid ID and wear closed-toe shoes. If you’re renting a firearm, bring cash or card for ammo purchase. First-time visitors must also complete a waiver before shooting.
